Intermediate Course

​Intermediate : When you reach the Intermediate level, this is the time where you would probably have a favourite drummer, drumming influence, desire to play in a band and desire to play your favourite tunes that you have never been able to play. 
In SGDA, we pride ourselves in having teachers that are very well versed with these skills. Each of them have extensive experience in playing live gigs with their bands and you can count on them to make you play "well". 

Topics to be covered : 

• Intermediate Fill Ins (With Double Strokes, Paradiddles) 
• Triplet (Sextuplet) Fill Ins
• Shuffles (Half Time, Straight, Blues, Jazz)
• Country, Metal, Funk, Fusion, Jazz, Electronic, Bossa Grooves
• Hand Techniques (Finger Control, Multiple Bounce, Buzz Rolls, Drag Rolls)
• Foot Technique (Heel Toe, Tap Slide)
• ​Chart Writing 
• Double Bass Drumming
• ​​Drum Examinations with Rockschool (Optional).
