SG DRUM ACADEMY Terms and Condition

This agreement has to be signed and agreed between SGDA (SG DRUM ACADEMY) and you “the student” before commencement of lessons. Students under the age of 18 will need parent/guardian’s approval and signature.
1. All courses, studios, equipment and materials are owned by SGDA. Exception includes if your material is purchased in either a digital or hard copy in or out of SGDA.
2. Lessons are charged based on 4 lessons a month, if there’s a public holiday, there would be a make up lesson. On month’s where there is 5 weeks, the student can opt to pay for the “5th” lesson. Student’s are expected to finish all 4 lessons within a time frame of 5 weeks.
3. All lessons are to be paid in full on the first lesson of the month/term. A 15% late fee fine will be imposed should the fees be not paid on time.
A $40 registration fee will be charged for each student intake.
4. Deposit : A 1 month’s deposit is required for student sign ups of courses in SGDA. Exceptions applies to cases where the student is only taking on a trial month, where the student will have to pay a $100 refundable deposit.
5. The student is responsible for the use of SGDA’s property. Should any damage, loss or theft arises as a direct or indirect result of the student’s actions, the student agrees to pay all reasonable costs including replacement/repairs of the property in question.
6. Permission is required from SGDA for students to bring guests onto SGDA premises and their use of SGDA’s property. The student agrees that all SGDA terms and rules are observed by his/her guests.
Student will be solely held responsible for the guest’s actions in SGDA. SGDA will not be held responsible should any damage, loss or theft for any of the student’s or guest’s property. No SGDA property is allowed to be removed without consent from SGDA.
7. SGDA reserves the rights to change the dates, times, prices and contents of its courses without prior notice.
8. Absence from a scheduled lesson does not result in any right of re-scheduling or refund. If you are unable to attend a scheduled lesson, you are required to inform SGDA as far in advance as possible. A minimum of 72 hour notice is required. A rescheduled lesson has to be attended within the next week or else its forfeited.
8.1 However, if you have circumstantial reasons such as hospitalization, bereavement, major examination, reservists etc. You will not be required to make-up classes for a maximum of 2 weeks.
9. Should the student decide to withdraw for a SGDA course/lesson, he or she will have to inform the school on a month’s notice and the deposit would be used to offset the lesson fees.
10. There will be no lessons on Public Holidays, unless the teacher decides to schedule and continue lessons on that day. A make up class will be arranged and scheduled between the teacher and the student. The classes will have to be attended within the month itself.
11. Group Lessons are to be paid in full on one payment. If either one of the student does not attend the lesson due to any reasons, the drum lessons continues as per normal and the rates will be charged as per normal.
12. The intellectual property rights (including without limitation, registered design, copyright, database rights, trademarks, application to register any of the aforementioned rights, trade secrets and/or know how) in SGDA materials and courses are and shall remain the exclusive property of SGDA and its licensors.
13. SGDA owns the intellectual property rights for any recording and writings made or written by a SGDA employee during the teaching of the courses and where SGDA and its employees have had input into the composition and/or recording or production of said works. Any unauthorized reproduction, dissemination, broadcast or other use of such SGDA-owned or controlled recordings and/or writings is prohibited and will constitute breach of this Agreement and an infringement of copyright.
14. SGDA reserves the rights to suspend or expel any student deemed (By SGDA in its sole discretion) to be acting or behaving unsociably, offensively or otherwise unacceptably through conduct, attitude or demeanor. In such cases, suspension or expulsion shall not give rise to a right to refund, and full fees will remain payable up to the date of expulsion.
